OMF MONGOLIA

Vision: OMF Mongolia is committed to working in partnership with Mongolian and foreign believers to see the establishment of self-supporting churches which are appropriate to the Mongolian culture, have well-discipled and godly leaders and are committed to extending the kingdom of God throughout Mongolia and beyond.

Strategy: The OMF Mongolia team seeks to fulfil our vision through three main tasks: planting reproducing churches, training believers and leaders in discipleship, mission and leadership and encouraging cross-cultural missions both within and outside of Mongolia.

Language Students
While most new workers enter the country on language study visas initially, all workers are expected to reach a good measure of fluency in the language. After language study, workers are placed with churches or non-profit agencies which can provide them with visas, an acceptable position in society as well as giving time for ministry. We need people willing to work with agencies in Mongolia such as JCS, ELI, Alpha, World Vision, UBTC, etc to come join our team in Mongolia.

Church Planting
OMF Mongolia seeks to set up teams of workers with Mongolian believers to establish new churches. We may join existing Mongolian-led churches which need support and encouragement. Suitably trained workers are needed to work in training institutes both in the countryside and the cities, helping prepare Mongolian believers for church and mission work.

Critical Personnel Needs
OMF Mongolia seeks new workers with the following qualifications:

• Flexibility, humility and willingness to work under Mongolian leadership
• Commitment to long-term ministry (minimum 8 years)
• Wide experience in church ministry
• Good language ability
• Missionary and Bible training
• Willingness to cope with hardship and a simple lifestyle
