The Long Haul

OMF International’s career missionaries typically serve for a period of more than three years. They are in it “for the long haul.” They plant churches, train leaders, produce literature, teach theology, work among students and bring the gospel to the rich and poor, deprived and privileged. Go as an evangelist or church planter. Or use your secular professional skills in areas restricted from regular missionary work. The opportunities are many. If you have the right skills and abilities – and a sense of God’s call – we can probably find a place for you.

The people of East Asia need people willing to commit long-term to investing in them and their communities. East Asians want to see commitment born out of years – and sometimes decades – of service. It’s a steep call. But it’s worth it.
