September 12th 2008 is the 100th anniversary of the day James O. Fraser set sail to China.

In 1908 a young English college graduate gave up a potential career and fame to serve as a missionary in the remote regions of China. But after six years there was little response and the mission needed him elsewhere.

Adapted from Mountain Rain, the biography written by Eileen Fraser Crossman (Fraser’s daughter), Breakthrough is an inspiring half-hour docudrama about a man, his journey, and a people changed through prayer. It is a story about personal sacrifice, perseverance, the power of prayer and the opportunity to step back in time 100 years to experience the life of a missionary pioneer to the Lisu people in East Asia.
