Jacky

Jacky is a teenage girl, living with her grandmother in a very small village not far from our house. Her mother came to Jesus in Bangkok. One day, Jacky suddenly appeared on our doorstep with the beautiful question, “I would like to become a Christian. Is that possible?” I asked her what she already knew about God and Jesus. “Almost nothing,” was her answer. So I started to explain a little bit about God the Creator, and gave her the cartoon Bible. A few days later she appeared again and told me, “I believe in God. I talk a lot about it with my mother (over the phone) and I experience real peace in my heart now. I’ve stopped worrying and am a much happier person.” I got tears in my eyes as I promised to visit her very soon and suggested she start a Bible correspondence course. (Jan & Jose van Eeken, church planting, Isaan)
- Please pray that this young girl will grow in her faith and that she may be a great witness in her small village (without any other Christian).
