God Never Gives Up

28/02/2011 6:56 am OMF Thailand <th-itSPAMFILTER@omf.net>

Tui became a Christian a number of years ago. She was instrumental in leading her sister Nee to the Lord. Later, Nee moved in with a non-Christian and gradually slid away from the Lord because she no longer attended church or read her Bible. About 12 years later, Nee got sick and tired of her alcoholic husband who was drunk from morning til night. Nee and Eve moved in with Tui, and Tui helped Nee get a job doing laundry at an OMF dorm. Nee began to join the weekly Bible studies at the dorm with two other Thai ladies who worked there - one who was a new Christian and one who had been a Christian for years.
Nee started to pray and read the Bible with her daughter, Eve. Because of bad experiences with her father's drunken rages, Eve struggled with fear. She often wet the bed. She was quiet and timid. The Bible study group prayed with Nee for Eve and, little by little, Eve became less afraid and stopped wetting the bed. Nee and Eve started attending Tui's church regularly. In time, Nee decided to purchase a laundry business to make a better income. She plays sermons and Christian music at her laundry. She tells her customers that she will not be open on Sunday mornings because she goes to church. (Jen Tibbets, OMF Dorm, Chiangmai)
Please Pray:

  • That Nee will be a light to her customers
  • That Eve will grow in the Lord
  • That Nee's husband will be set free from alcohol and turn to Jesus.
  • That all the Thai staff who attend these Bible studies will come to faith
