God is Here!

After I had a motorbike accident, which could have caused severe injury, my language helper, Gae, could see how miraculously God had protected me with only minor injuries. This created more opportunities to talk about God with her in natural ways. Gae has been helping at Kids Clubs in the Lighthouse as a volunteer. She translates Bible stories into Thai, which means she is sharing the gospel with children, even though she considers herself a sincere Buddhist! What Gae says in our conversations indicates that she surely acknowledges the presence of God and that she is attracted to Christianity. One day she said to me, "If I could choose only one religion to exist in this world, I would choose Christianity!" However, she also commented, "How come I was not born into a Christian family?" Gae is married with two daughters living with her parents-in-law. My prayer is that not only Gae herself but also her whole family will come to know the Lord. Please pray:
- that Gae will have more desire to know the living God and that the Holy Spirit will continue to touch her heart deeply.
- Please pray that we will be able to build trust and close relationships with the family members of Gae, and others who come to the Lighthouse regularly.
- Pray that God will give us wisdom and knowledge on how to present the gospel in a way our Buddhist friends can understand.
