Soccer for Jesus
Pastor Tanit and the Tak Faa Church want to reach their entire district. They have Christians in each sub-district but one, Nong Pikun. They were asking God to help them find ways to build relationships in Nong Pikun. When they heard about a group of Christians from Australia coming to play soccer in Central Thailand they could see a possibility. So Pastor Tanit contacted the Nong Pikun leaders to see if they were interested in a soccer game with some Australians. They were, and would pay for all the costs of holding the game too! So the first evangelistic event in Nong Pikun was a soccer game! Lots of local people came to see the game with their local team. They were entertained, but they also heard the gospel and were invited to investigate more about Christ by the Tak Faa Church. |
