To Do What?
Work with local churches to plant churches holistically among the urban poor.
Possible Tasks
a) make contacts with nonbelievers, evangelize, disciple, teach, and train; b) mercy ministries; c) community development programs; and d) self-help projects.
For how long?
Long term (3 years or more).
When?
Needed immediately.
What's required?
Learn local language and then begin work with a multinational team. Work towards a church multiplication movement.
Language?
Tagalog.
Type of person
Have a vision for this work. Prayerful. Bible school or seminary trained. Highly motivated, creative, flexible, and showing initiative. Experience in urban poor ministry. Gifted in church planting and/or skilled in medicine, nutrition, agriculture, social work, or practical services. Spiritually and psychologically mature. Physically healthy. Able to live simply and with lack of privacy.
